This project was a final for one of my social media classes. My group consisted of about five people. Our task was to pretend that we were a start-up agency and we had to present to the CEO of Ford of why Ford should choose our marketing plan over our competitors.
We called our agency TopTeir, and first, we talked about Ford's history, safety ratings, and competitors. From our research, we found that Ford was already on top in most categories. So our social marketing plan was to push Ford's brand into the family market. Our new target market was families; more specifically young drivers, truck lovers, and tech-savvy users. With this in mind, we created the #FordFamily to use on social media platforms. With this, we proposed creating three videos in a series, a series based on one family. Each video would represent one of the three car owners and show of a vehicle for that type of people to purchase. We also designed an app for people to be able to customize any Ford vehicle and purchase the vehicle from the app; we made sure to include safety measures because we did not want children to purchase a car by accident. To tie it all together, we were going to create a social media sweepstake for three lucky individuals to win one of the three vehicles talked about in the videos. For the sweepstake, we would use the app, our website, and our social media channels to increase engagement and the only way you could enter was by downloading the app.
